Dr. Cushing's therapeutic approach is solution-based and focuses on how thoughts are highly associated with feelings and behavior. Understanding a person's life experience through empathic listening often brings insights into an individual's thinking and behavior patterns. He works with patients on a daily basis who are suffering from depression, anxiety, or general life stress that occurs within relationships and/or the workplace. As such, individual and couples counseling make up a substantial part of Dr. Cushing's practice.
